How to Get Started with Investing on EquityMultiple

Are you interested in investing in real estate? EquityMultiple is a great platform to start your journey. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to get started:

  1. Sign up: The first step to invest on EquityMultiple is to register on account. Simply provide your basic information, such as your name, email address, and phone number. At the moment, we only accept accredited investors. Please refer to our article on Accreditation for more information.

  2. Verify your email: After signing up, you'll receive an email with a confirmation link. Click on the link provided to verify your email address and complete the registration process.

  3. Establish your user profile: Once you've verified your email address, you can create your user profile. You will need to provide relevant personal information and upload an identifiable document for verification purposes. We are required to verify the identity of every EquityMultiple investor as part of the mandatory "Know Your Customer" process. Your account information is securely maintained in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  4. Create an investment account: Once your email is verified, you'll need to create an investment account. You can create an individual, joint, IRA, and entity investment accounts. Note: In order to create a new entity investment account, any previously begun entity accounts must either be marked "Completed" or must be removed.

  5. Link your bank account: To invest, you'll need to link your bank account. This is a simple process that involves providing your bank details. Once your bank account is linked to your investment account that you have created, you can easily transfer funds for your investments.   6. Browse and invest: With your account set up and verified, you can start browsing through our available deals. Our offerings include a variety of real estate investment opportunities that are carefully vetted by our team of experts. Each investment opportunity comes with a detailed description, financial projections, due diligence materials, and more.

  7. Complete your accreditation verification, if applicable: In order to invest on the EquityMultiple platform, you will need to verify your accreditation status in accordance with Rule 501.   8. Monitor your investment: After making your investment, you can track its progress through your account portfolio. We provide regular updates on the performance of your investment.
