New to the platform? We have you covered!

Once you've created a profile with us, there are a few extra steps to complete before you make your first investment πŸŽ‰

  1. Verify your email address - Our team will send you an email to the address you used to sign up on the platform. Not receiving an email? Let us know by clicking the blue EquityMultiple icon at the bottom-right hand of the screen.

  2. Create an Investment Account - In order to participate in offerings on our platform, investors will need to have created at least one investment account. Investors have the opportunity to invest as individuals, through an entity, as a joint account holder, or through an Individual Retirement Account. Be prepared to provide the following, among other additional requirements, in order to create an investment account on the platform:

    1. Identification documents, such as a driver's license or a passport.

    2. Tax Identification numbers for each account opened.

    3. Organizational evidence documents, where applicable.

    4. Power of Attorney documents, where applicable.

    5. W-9 Form for each account opened.

    6. Personal or business information, such as addresses and phone numbers.

    7. Personal information for a second account holder, where applicable.

    8. IRA custodian information, where applicable.

For more information on creating an investment account, click here.

  3. Set up your two-factor authentication for logging in - We strongly suggest setting up your two-factor authentication in order to streamline logging in. You can set up your 2FA by visiting Settings > Security > Two Factor Authentication. Ensuring that your 2FA is set up will allow for a safe, secure log -in experience, and provide you with backup codes to use when you need to get into your account, and you do not have access to your phone.

  4. Verify your accreditation status - While this step is not required to browse and participate in offerings, we recommend verifying your accreditation status, according to Rule 501, at the time of account creation. Investment accounts that are not verified as accredited at the time of an investment closing will be refunded the full amount of the investment, and the investor's placement in the offering will be dropped.

Most investors are automatically accredited upon signing up to the platform, and no further action is needed. For more information on verifying accreditation status, click here.

Congratulations! You're on your way to building a diverse Portfolio, and participating as a member of the EquityMultiple investor community.
