Regenerating your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) backup codes
Updated over a week ago

After setting up two-factor authentication (2FA) using your phone number, you'll be provided with eight unique backup codes. These codes allow you to securely sign in to your account in case you can't access your phone to receive a One-Time Passcode (OTP). It's important to note that each backup code can be only used once.

Note: Generating new backup codes will invalidate your existing backup codes.

Step-by-step instructions

Step 1: Sign into your EquityMultiple account here

If you don't remember your password, please click on "Forgot password?" and follow the steps to reset your password.

Step 2: Once logged in, click your name on the top right of the screen, on the blue bar.

Step 3: A drop-down menu will appear. From this menu, select "Settings".

Step 4: Within the settings, you'll see four categories. Click on the "Security" option.

Step 5: Under the "Two-Factor Authentication" section, find and click on the blue link labeled "Regenerate Backup Codes". It may take a few moments to process and create your new codes.

Step 6: After the codes are generated, you'll have the ability to copy and download them for future use.

Remember to store your backup codes in a secure place. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, please reach out to our Investor Relations team.
